Social recruitment is het proces van het adverteren van vacatures, het werven van kandidaten en het in contact komen met potentieel talent via sociale mediaplatforms. Het wordt ook wel social hiring or social media recruiting genoemd.
Volgens een studie van CareerArc uit 2021 gaf 92% van de werkgevers aan dat ze Social Media gebruiken om talent te vinden. Dit maakt dat voor veel organisatie de Social Media nu dè beste opties is om talent te vinden verbinden maar ook te ‘nurturen’ (lees: onderhouden)
Social recruitment heeft voor hen ook de voorkeur boven advertenties, referalls van werknemers en zelfs boven vacaturesites!
Natuurlijk heb je gelijk. Dat had je ook bij de GSM en internet. Dit alles was een hype en het waaide ook over.
Niet echt hè?
Persoonlijk denk ik dat Social media steeds belangrijker gaat worden simpelweg omdat Social media nooit meer zal verdwijnen. De vorm hiervan zal wel veranderen.
Maar als je bedoelt dat jullie het geprobeerd hebben, maar het kwam niet van de grond. Dat kan!
Ik kom veel bij bedrijven die posten poster- , billboardmateriaal en vacatures als content op social media plaatsen, maar heb je het dan echt geprobeerd?
De interactie op dit soort content is vaak erg laag. Simpelweg omdat het transactionele content is en niet verbindend werkt.
Persoonlijke content genereert 561% meer bereik èn het netwerk van een organisatie is het cumulatief van de medewerkers.
Organisaties moeten begrijpen dat als medewerkers zich in de content herkennen en interactie aangaan, er een grote kans is op viral content met gratis organisch bereik. Post daarom persoonlijke content waarop jijzelf, medewerker en je relaties wel zouden reageren.

Traditionele wervingsmethodes werken nog altijd, mits zij pro-actief en outreachend zijn.
De post ’n pray strategie heb ik nooit in geloofd, maar ik zie dit nog altijd gebeuren. ( post ’n pray: Het online plaatsen van een vacature en wachten op reacties van kandidaten)
Social Recruitment is effectiever in termen van het genereren van bereik en kostenbesparing. Je hoeft niet te betalen op basis van kosten per klik of voor viess (wat enorm kan oplopen)
In plaats daarvan hoef jij je alleen maar te concentreren op het onder de aandacht brengen van de juiste mensen door middel van krachtige strategie..
Ben je klaar om samen te bouwen aan een strategie? Ik heb hier een opsomming van de eerste 8 stappen al uitgeschreven, jij hoeft het alleen maar in te vullen!
1. Stel doelenBij het stellen van doelstellingen voor jouw Social Recruitment strategie is het belangrijk ervoor te zorgen dat deze specifiek, meetbaar, acceptabel, relevant en tijdgebonden (SMART) zijn. Dit zal je helpen de voortgang bij te houden, gebieden voor verbetering te identificeren en indien nodig jouw strategie aan te passen.
Denk aan doelenstellingen als:
Bouw aan een talentenpool van potentiële kandidaten. Zelf hanteer ik hier een 5x 5 strategie in 5 nieuwe prospects x 5 dagen is 1200 per jaar
Het opstellen van een ICP (Ideal Candidate Profile) is een belangrijk onderdeel van het wervingsproces. Het helpt om een beter beeld te krijgen van het soort kandidaat dat je zoekt en om gerichter te sourchen. Zo kunt je dus betere kandidaten vinden die passen bij de functie en het bedrijf.
Identificeer het type kandidaat: Op basis van de functievereisten en bedrijfscultuur kunt u het type kandidaat identificeren dat het beste verleden bij de functie en het bedrijf.
Maak een persona: Maak een gedetailleerde persona van de ideale kandidaat, inclusief demografische gegevens, professionele ervaring, vaardigheden, opleiding en persoonlijke eigenschappen.
3. Wat doen jouw concurrentenKijk niet tegen ze op, maar kijk wat ze doen, waar ze doen en hoe ze doen.

Bouw je employer brand van binnenuit.Om te bepalen welk social media kanaal het beste is om kandidaten te vinden, is het belangrijk om te weten wat voor soort kandidaten je zoekt en op welke manier jj jouw berichten wilt verspreiden. Hieronder zijn enkele algemene richtlijnen die je kunnen helpen bij het bepalen van welke social media kanalen het meest geschikt zijn voor uw doeleinden:

Bied training en ondersteuning: geef je medewerkers de tools en kennis die ze nodig hebben om effectief te zijn in het delen van content en deze te converteren.
8. Meet, optimaliseer, herhaal en recycle!Breng de bedrijfscultuur onder de aandacht, bereik een bredere talentenpool en kom in contact met jouw ideale kandidaten met Social Recruitment. Nu het personeelsbestand steeds meer wordt gedomineerd door Gen Z en Millennials, kunnen recruiters het zich niet permitteren sociale media te negeren.
